HT2 Labs & Clients Shortlisted for 2 Learning Technologies Awards
HT2 Labs have today been shortlisted for two prestigious learning technology awards – in categories recognising excellence in social learning and learning platform implementation.
The Learning Technologies Awards (formerly known as the e.learning Age Awards), are some of the most fiercely competitive awards in the industry.
This year saw over 200 entries from across the globe, covering sectors including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, finance, transport, utilities, retail, leisure, and communications, as well as national and international government, major public and membership bodies and leading international education brands.
Best Use of Social and Collaborative Learning Technologies
The Best use of Social & Collaborative Learning Technologies category seeks to find examples of organisations that are effectively using social and collaborative technologies to enhance learning opportunities and meet organisational needs.
HT2 have been shortlisted along with clients InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) for a project that evidenced the effectiveness of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on first-level leaders around the world, with the aim of improving the quality of their feedback conversations. The results were spectacular; more than 30,000 contributions, thousands of pictures, videos and links shared.
Best Enterprise Learning Platform Implementation
The second shortlisting comes in the Best Enterprise Learning Platform Implementation category which seeks to recognise impact in terms of contribution to organisational success, use of smart new technologies, impact on the learners and return on investment.
The same Villeroy & Boch (V&B) project won the the Best Social & Collaborative Learning project category at the LPI Learning Awards earlier this year and since then has gone from strength-to-strength. By delivering real bottom-line business results through the application of social learning technologies, the V&B project has managed to stand-out once again to remain in the hunt for a prestigious ‘double’ from the L&D community.
Ben Betts, CEO of HT2 responded to the double shortlisting, saying:
“We’re delighted that the work we do with our clients continues to be recognised as some of the best in the business. Every year the standard of entry gets higher, so even to be shortlisted is a great honour. We’re now looking forward to delivering our presentations to the judging panel and are keeping our fingers crossed that our clients are able to take home well-deserved awards from the gala night in November!”
The second round of judging takes place throughout September and October, with the winners announced at a glittering black tie event attended by over 800 guests from across the learning and development industry worldwide on November 30.
